I recently found out that blocking dcxdp isnt enough for small fandoms. It means scrolling a fandom tag with a lot of post hidden. I get that it can be frustrating.

I think people who says "just dont tag dp and dc with dpxdc" arent aware it wont solve anything.

There will still be people who will tag with multiple fandom tags, because thats the norm on tumblr. This "etiquette" will never reach everyone. Someone new wont know this. Someone who just post and dissapear wont know this. Or just people who dont agree with this. It's obvious. Heck I didnt know about this and im on tumblr everyday.

And what is your plan for that posts? Leave mutiple comments that they tagged wrong? Even if they used the right tags for the right fandom? Tired people are angry people i dont see this turning out anything than toxic.

And as an artist: we like having audience. Fandom is a community. What if you are able to remove dpxdc from other tags. How new people will find it?

Having a separate tag means:

* it will be easy to find for new people (it will be with the other tags!)

* it will be optional. Its only for people who are tired of crossovers. YOU DECIDE what you want to see. No policing others.

* using this tag with crossover tag will be missuse of a tag (very intuitive)

* it will mean that new people wont know about it, so wont be using it to tag it with crossovers accidentally.

Idk about you, but i see this as an absolute win for everyone

This would be used in addition to the danny phantom tag, turning it into a true umbrella tag for everything related to Danny Phantom, while having a few major sub-tags for people to find exactly what they want.

After some more discussion with members of the fandom in the notes of my poll asking about a community and elsewhere, it seems like the better option for everyone might actually be a new tag, so I'm making a new poll here!

Some answers to questions I think people might have are below the readmore:

Q: Why are all of these only one word?

A: For the same reason the dpxdc tag is only one word! Tumblr's tagging implementation is Not Good. Tags with spaces don't play well with it, and especially don't play well with blocked tags. If someone wants to block non-crossover Danny Phantom content, we want to make it as painless as possible for them.

Q: What issues were raised around communities?

A: A few! To name some of them:

Limited interactions with posts: Communities only let you react with emoji and leave comments on posts reblogged into them. Not great, if we want to have long reblog chains riffing on one another

Original Posters aren't notified if someone else reblogs their post into a community, even if it's public. So if someone reblogged your post into the community for you, you wouldn't know about it -- or know to look for people interacting with it.

Communities have mods, and therefore would need trustworthy, engaged mods to make it work. Over a short time frame, we could probably manage it! But over a longer one, a community for an entire fandom would probably have moderator drama. That could lead to fracturing, or people leaving specifically because they don't like the mods, etc. A tag is a lot less active maintenance.

A few people also expressed a general dislike for the feature, even if they were willing to move to one. This seems like a much smaller change that will let those people stay away from a feature they don't like, while interacting with the content they do.

Q: What about less-common crossovers? Won't those get excluded from this tag?

A: They will. I'm asking about this poll first because I figured getting the community to make a decision about the other crossovers would be easier if we'd already decided on the non-crossovers.

The current idea is to move those to their own tag as well, so they can get dedicated attention from the crossover enthusiasts who love them. One of the people I talked to about this runs the niche-dp-crossovers blog, so it's on the radar. If you have concerns or suggestions about that, the notes on this post is as good a place as any to suggest them!

The guy’s hand lingered, his face inching closer to yours. You tensed. Pedro rose, stepping between you. His eyes were sharp, his voice low. “Everything okay here?”

The man stammered, stepping back. “Uh, yeah. Just,hi.” He smiled too broadly and backed off.

Pedro forced a polite grin for the guy, then turned to you. Heat burned behind his eyes. “Let’s get some air.”

He took your hand and led you up to the next rooftop level, away from the crowd. You followed silently, adrenaline thrumming in your veins.

He leaned against the railing, facing the city. Neon lights flickered below. After a moment, he spoke, voice tight: “You told me you liked me. Why didn’t I just stay and listen?”

You crossed your arms. “Because you were scared. You think it’s wrong.”

He gave you a sidelong glance. “Do you think it’s wrong?”

You stepped closer. “No. I think it’s… complicated.”

He looked away, jaw working. You reached up, brushed his cheek. “I’m not some kid. I’m thirty-two. I can handle the complications.”

He caught your hand in his. A tremor ran through him. “I don’t want you to get hurt.”

You sighed, heart aching at his concern. “I’m already hurt, Pedro. But I still want this.” You pressed a kiss to his palm. “Us.”

A beat passed. Then suddenly, the distant strains of music and laughter dissolved into the night as he spun you around, pressing you against the cold metal railing. His lips crashed into yours, fierce and desperate. You melted instantly into the heat of him, arms winding around his neck, your legs kicking out until he lifted you, legs straddling his waist.

His mouth traveled down your neck, teeth grazing your pulse point. You gasped into his shirt, heart pounding. His hands roamed your back, tugging your dress hem higher, brushing the lace of your panties through the fabric.

He lifted you onto the railing, legs wrapped around him as you ground your body against his bulge. The zipper of his jeans strained in your grasp. You tilted your head back, offering more of your throat, and he obliged with hot, needy kisses.

“God, you,” he broke off, voice ragged. “You’re going to get us killed.”

You laughed breathlessly. “I don’t care.”

He fumbled with his jeans, freeing himself just enough to push into you, shallow at first. Your nails dug into his shoulders as he thrust, the cold metal railing against your back heightening every sensation.

“Fuck,” he groaned, hitting deep. “You feel amazing.”

You rolled your hips with his, meeting every thrust. The wind whipped around you, but all you felt was heat. Your breath came in short pants.

“Pedro,” you moaned, voice trembling. “I want more.”

He obliged, pulling you flush against him, driving harder now. The sound of skin meeting skin, the wet, filthy noises of it, echoed through the quiet night.

“Come on,” you whispered. “Come with me.”

He hissed in response, thrusting until your moans turned into cries. With a final, firm push, you both tumbled over the edge of control, clinging to each other as your bodies shook.

He collapsed against the railing beside you, both of you panting. He brushed a strand of hair from your face. “Why did I ever push you away?”

You laughed softly, fingertips tracing his jaw. “Because you’re a stubborn old man.”

He shot you a mock-offended look. “Hey.”

You kissed him lightly. “Thank you for this. Thank you for being jealous.”

He smiled, shadows and neon playing across his face. “Jealous? Me?”

You nodded, curling into him. “Yes. Jealous.”

He swallowed. “I… I really like you.”

Your heart soared. “I like you too.”

He kissed you then, slower this time, savoring every second, tasting you like he’d memorized every part of you.

When the party wound down, you slipped back to his place,the same you’d sneak into before dawn all summer long. The door clicked closed behind you, and suddenly it was private again.

He backed you against the door, pressing soft kisses along your collarbone. You lifted your arms, helping him unbutton your dress. It pooled at your feet. He dropped to his knees, hands skimming over your thighs.

“Can’t get enough,” he murmured, thumb brushing your clit through your panties.

You moaned. “Then don’t.”

He tugged the lace aside and enveloped you in heat, tongue swirling until you trembled. The world narrowed to just his mouth on you and your fingers threading through his hair.

When he stood again, kisses trailed up your body until he reached your lips, capturing them in a bruising kiss. His hands went under your thighs, lifting you up. You wrapped your legs around him, guiding him in.

Thunderbolts, Thunderbugs!

So I took my best friends to see this movie. After making them cry a few times, my bug loving friend and I discussed what bug each Thunderbolt would be. So, here we go this is gonna be a long post. It’s me talking about bugs and over analyzing things

Yelena Belova - Paper Wasp

First one we decided on so let's talk about our queen Yelena first. Yelena is a wasp, for sure, and a lot of wasp species act generally the same so that doesn't matter a ton. However, paper wasps in particular are a lot nicer then other species. Unlike yellow jackets (hate those guys), paper wasps typically only attack if their homes are threatened. I think this shows Yelena's practical approach to violence, everything she does she does for a reason. Also, on a sadder note, female wasps are typically not the 'fighters' of their groups. They stay and take care of the brood. I think this could match the fact that Yelena was forced into a life that she wasn't 'made for' or at least a life she had no choice in. Beautiful, dangerous, and amazing team player; Yelena is a wasp.

Ava Starr - Ghost Mantis

Okay that one's pretty obvious on name alone but I have more reasons. One being the nature of mantises. Many mantis species move so quickly you can hardly see them, corrosponding with Ava's powers. Mantis are also deceptively strong bugs and the ghost mantis had this sort of weird beauty to it that I really enjoy and think matches Ava. Ghost mantis are also on the smallest side of the mantis family and females particularly will play dead as to help their camoflauge better hide them. I think this fits Ava's tendency to hide literaly and metaphorically.

John Walker - Ant-Mimicking Spider

Originally I said Walker was a fire ant. Incredibly strong, annoying and mean as hell, and a great team player. Then, my wonderful and intelligent friend brought up the ant-mimicking spider. Not only does this allow me to keep my ant reasonings, it also highlights another part of Walker's character. He adopts a persona that isn't his own, we see this majorly in TFATWS and it carries through into Thunderbolts*. Walker is trying to be something he isn't, at first Captain America and then he tries to project the image of a happy father to Yelena, Bob, and Ava in the Vault. Walker is a mimic of things prior and he struggles heavily trying to be someone he isnt, but by the end of the movie we see him become who he's supposed to be. That being, U.S Agent. Also, these spiders put up their front two legs when mimicking an ant and that could move into how Walker is the one to put his shield up and dive into action first.

Bob Reynolds - Miyama Stag Beetle

Or just a stag beetle if you dont wanna be too specific. Bob was second hardest and I went back and forth on this but I like a stag beetle for a few reasons. One, Miyama stags are one of the smaller stag beetle species. Not the smallest or the largest, but compared to those MASSIVE ones you can find they're littler. Still, these are crazy strong bugs and that corelates with Bob's weak looking appearence compared to the power he posseses as the century. Smaller reason I chose this specific stag beetle, it's black to match the Void. Also, all beetles start at meek little grubs and become the tanks that they are. To me this matches how Bob was just a troubled young adult that got turned into something greater. Also, I think they're cute.

Honorable mention to the Mole Cricket, solely because they have the same face.

Alexei Shostakov - Elephant Beetle

Okay this ones easy. Look at the SIZE of him. Big and powerful creature, yet they look terribly friendly. This one wasn't even a debate with the afformentioned bug friend, I was shown the elephant beetle and instantly agreed. I don't have as many story or character related reasons for this one. Purely based on shape and vibe. Big ass beetle, take it or leave it. If you want a little bit of character, while not done by elephant beetles, some species of beetle (mostly burying beetles) are good parents! So there you go.

Bucky Barnes - Buck Moth

This is another one where the name is doing some heavy lifting but stay with me! One, the color scheme. Two, the name. Three, the caterpillars of buck moths are hella venomous and just touching them can cause you some major ouch. Bucky is a pretty prickly guy. Also, buck moths are endangered and Bucky is a pretty endagered species seing that he's of a dead generation and made by a (thankfully) dead orginization. I also like a moth for him because, despite all the terrible things that this man has put up with, he's still attacted to the light. To being a good guy.

So Yeah. ThunderBugs! If some big old bug nerds want to tell me how this is all wrong uh.. do or don't man I'm going off vibes and wikipedia articles and prior knowledge. im doing my best.

Im back to my house!

My bathroom, i missed it so much (never leave me again 😭)

Ok, so, i want to recapitulate everything i went through so others can understand what went with my surgery. A friendly reminder I'm from Peru, so maybe it's a LATAM thingy

The surgery i went through was partial hysterectomy. It wasn't full because my cervix was waaaay too close to my bladder and to prevent a prolapse.

Pre surgery was normal stuff so i dont need to describe it (fasting, take my clothes off, put on the gown)

Shit changes when you enter the operation room

They didn't put me to sleep. The anaesthesia was only for the lower part of my body. You know it's that because they will inject it in your vertebrae. Yeah, your back.

I had problematic veins because of the fasting and it's winter here. So they put the IV on my neck. Yeah, THAT Jugular vein. Metal af but you will hate it later

I didnt fall asleep so i listen to every single gossip the doctor interchanged. They gossip a lot btw.

I didnt feel what they were doing, only when they put the instruments on my belly. If something, i only felt they were shaking it lmao

Surgery over, post-operation. This part sucks.

So the whole "it's metal af to have the iv on your neck?" Now sucks. I needed to have my neck turned sideways and it hurt. No where the needle was but the effort the muscle was making

I didnt feel my legs until the very late night. I had an urinary catheter

The catheter it's NOT fun but you will miss it later

Unless you are very used to sleep on your back, you will suffer

Next day, they took the catheter off. I felt like i gave birth. I also had food.

The cartoons are right, hospital food sucks

This is were it gets terrible. Because the moment you have food, it starts the real pain: the flatulences

I kid you not, it hurt like hell. I had a nervous crisis because the flatulences inflated my guts and i couldn't pee on the bedpan.

The bedpan. I couldnt. I remember it and fuck, it was hard.

I felt so bad i wasnt able to go (even though the doctor said it's normal to not being able to go) i started shaking. Nurse thought i had a fever, but nope, it was my nervous system

Didnt help i hadnt take my depression pills neither, so take your meds.

The problem mostly was the neck iv so the nurse (bless her) decided to finally put it on my arm. I was then sent to the bathroom and i could finally go pee

I could hear angels singing on my hear

The flatulences still stayed. Even though i felt better because i could use the bathroom, the fucking gases moved a lot, i could feel them in my anus like it was a bomb.

After that i was okish. I recommend sleeping on your side and have a pillow or something to pur between your legs and help hold your belly. That does wonders

Today i was able to eat breakfast better than yesterday. But that's because i also started walking to make the gases go away.

I have yet to poo so, uhm, i have no records of that to inform.

So far that's it. I will edit when i have more information. And it's not to scare people, it's to tell you what to expect, because not everyone will tell you about the problems with peeing and pooing, you are supposed to just "deal with it" and you know what, im not like that.

renmitsu sucks !! mitsuri literally describes kyojuro as an "older brother" and then someone decided "lets ship these two!" its also teacher x student.

omfg I hate zennezu, "its canon!!" canon ships can be bad? anyway, zenitsu acts extremely weird to her, he screams and yells when he sees her, refers to her as his wife in the final battle (when they arent even dating?), and im pretty sure he only likes her for her looks. he fell in love with her the moment he saw her, aka he liked how she looked. he even flirted with other women while having a crush on her. sanegiyu. its just....ew for me. and no im not one of those people who goes "i hate it because of the shippers" even though the shippers do annoy me. i see shippers spreading false information all the time and i genuinely want to rip out my eyeballs because NO, sanemi and giyu didnt get married after the final battle? and you could say i don't have proof, i do. sanemi and giyu BOTH had descendants. they are both cis males and cis males cannot get pregnant (for now haha) so they MUST have gotten wives or descendants would not have been possible. yeah i know they became friends after the war but i just genuinely dont like this ship genmui, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I HATE IT. I dont hate it more than sanegiyu but its my second least favorite ship. these two just dont go together imo. the only reason people ship them is because they both died to kokushibo. kokugiyu. i dislike all demon x human ships (kimegakuen is an exception for SOME demon x human ships). once again I don't see how these two would go together. shinogiyu, theyre friends !! also its barely legal. its likely shinobu became a hashira a couple years ago because most people become hashira at 16-18, and its likely that shinobu and giyu knew each other before she even became a hashira because of the butterfly (or should I say flower haha sorry ill leave) existing and tending to slayers wounds. anyway so conclusion, giyu probably met shinobu while he was an adult and she was a minor so its barely legal even if they did meet while shinobu was an adult (unlikely). uzuren. I dislike bsf x bsf ships, and tengen has enough wives. I cant picture kyojuro in a romantic relationship, he's unshippable imo. ANY killer x victim ships (my only exception is ONE SIDED doushino) like akaren, doushino, akagiyu, gyuten, etc. ill be back to ruin your day by bashing your favorite ships....

Okay so i been REALLY thinking about this for idk the last week or so? And i want to hear other people opinions

So u think can VILE be considered a kind of a forced work for the operatives?

I mean yea, they have a place where they get food, a home ect..But! They OBVIOUSLY cant LEAVE, they are constantly told that if they try to they are gonna die

All most every operative we see is like- in their 20's, very young, and is told in the show that VILE looks for people who are orfans, Poor, ect

Basically people who cant stand for their own and probably need help, they get an offer who they cant reject and suddenly they are stuck in an island having to steal till VILE decides they are not worth it anymore.

Regarding the question - yes, i do think the vile ops feel “trapped” in some manner. Even though all of them signed up for this (well, kinda - all the operatives signed up for valuable imports, lavish exports - not the villains international league of evil) - they cant ever just change their mind and quit this life. There is no going back. Its why when Dexter left it was such a big deal. It was why Shadowsan spent 20 years part of something he did not believe in, and its why Blacksheep had to escape in the first place.

I also definitely like the HC that VILE targets those with weak support systems (whether because theyre in poverty or come from a broken family) - we have some evidence of this as gray and shadowsan, the only two vile characters besides carmen whom we get a hint of backstory for, both seemed to lack parentsl figures in their youth. Obviously this could just be circumstantial but i think it would be interesting if this idea was committed to.

Maelstrom’s on the faculty and he’s well informed on matter’s of psyche - there’s no doubt in my mind that he’d be well aware of the benefits of accruing loyalty from those who dont rlly have anyone or anything else. Itd very feasible to me that he’d put it into “practice” when recruiting operatives.

That being said, the above doesnt excuse any of their actions as VILE ops or remove culpability. But its interesting to think about, no doubt! Hope you’re having a nice day as well!

previous anon here: dorian's predatory business practices are a lot like wattpad's if you know anything about that—they pocket a huge portion of the proceeds for every VN they publish and only give very few pennies to the actual authors, essentially using other people's work to line their own pockets, while pretending to provide a great platform for artists. Last I heard they also have terms that say whatever you upload to them becomes their property IP. it's the kind of situation where they convince artists its the easiest option for publishing a VN, when in reality there are other ways that are just as or even more simple that allow u to keep full ownership of ur work. I also have a grudge against them specifically because they bought up an indie VN studio that I was a fan of, put previously free stuff behind a paywall and otherwise ran it into the ground, and their social media people were very unprofessional and sent threatening messages to fans for making fan content.

Renpy takes some learning, but it's really simple once you know how it works. And besides renpy there are other VN engines that are even simpler (Unity even has a VN library called Fungus thats very simple and straightforward to use) TyranoBuilder is also a popular one. As for chapters, there are absolutely people on itchio updating their VNs a chapter at a time, although i dont know if its in the way youd want; pushing each separate chapters as updates to the main game, or releasing each chapter as a separate game come to mind as options.

(i'd honestly even offer to convert the game to renpy for you since ive been working extensively with renpy for the past 2 years and am very familiar with it and how to work it, if it meant i could save one artist from the clutches of dorian, but that feels too much like overstepping 😅)

So i am not sure if maybe they have changed things, but with games self published to them they own 0% of that IP so I will own Gravehearts 100% only if they where to buy it from me then they’d own it but i personally do not see that happening lmao. From what i understand about it is it is like Webtoons but for VNs anyone can upload to it but they still own it like how i still own Horizon Walkers even though it’s on Webtoons and Tapas. They do take a % of what you make so that is why I would love to also have my own app or game on itch as well!

I have a decent following for my artwork but who knows what that vendiagram is for people who like VNs is, so if i where to publish the game somewhere by itself i don’t know how well it would do because I don’t know if i have the audience for it, also i don’t know if people would even see it when i post about it cause social media sucks. So like posting HW to webtoons so that people who read comics might see it that’s what I am kind of hoping for with posting Gravehearts to Dorian.

Again with Gravehearts i own it 100%, with publishing games there you can chose when and where people pay for things, and people do paywall love interests and main story stuff but i fully do not intend to do that because I don't want to do that. So I will not be putting any main story or love interests behind paywalls the only thing I would do as paid stuff are optional scenes with a character where you can get a nice full art piece of them from it! (Im also trying to figure out if i could put some kind of code on the image so people can download high res versions of it as phone wallpapers! So you’re actually paying for something more tangible)

However like i said previously i would love to make my own app for it, or something like an app or on itch, but i could maybe try do it in tangent with Dorian, so people who don’t want to support them can still support the story somewhere else! But it might take a little while for me to be able to do something like that because it’d be learning a whole bunch of new stuff and it is just me but I will do my best 👍

I've been wondering why I get so steamed over anons asking about 'what happened?' to writers in fandoms, and I think I've narrowed it down to the fact that generally, those who keep in touch with fandom writers, or other creators, don't need to ask 'what happend'.... Because they usually are already keeping tabs or trying to support their favorite blogs in some way.

Most writers I know, I loosely know what they're into nowadays or why they may not be writing. you can usually tell by context clues - or by the fact most writers and other creators are rather chatty (to many of us, creating was just another form of reaching out!) and we generally...post about it.

We discuss that writing, or translations, or art, or more are 'on hold' because IRL got busy, our jobs stressed us out.

We talk about other games we've gotten into, how much fun we're having with a new hobby, we talk about how we wish more people would reach out to us more concerning this and that. Hell, a lot of creators I know, and just other fandom folks, are pretty desperate to talk - we make whole worlds or submerge ourselves into them for human connections for fucks sake - there are usually signs of some sort, if you actually look.

even if its not a very clear cut post saying 'hey, im getting tired, I want to take a break' - you can see this by all of the works on their masterlist. how many years they've been talking and writing and making things about xyz. the new shiny interest they have that's revived their spark. the hints of a sideblog, the hints of IRL holding more interest now that they're no longer stuck in a trauma home.

i feel as though its very rare to not be able to piece together where a creator has 'gone'. It's pretty rare for people to just poof away randomly.

it bothers me. "Where did all the [fandom] writers go?" just directly translates to "i dont actually care, where is content?" because generally... if you interact with the writers and blogs you love so much, you'd know 95% of the time, or could hazard a safe guess.

The question also showcases that lack of support newer fandom writers are likely receiving as well (fandom writers still exist!!! New blogs writing for these games still pop up!!!!!), however I can't really discuss that too in depth and think they should talk about their struggles and be supported on that too.

I always find it funny that in ACD Sherlock is the energetic people's sibling who is nice to the idiots he is surrounded by and sort of stokes peoples ego and Mycroft is the lazy smarter sibling who doesn't talk to people much and basically isolates himself comp and would rather be considered wrong than actually proving anything
